Biografía
Carmelo Zocco, also known as KAMEROL, was born on June 4, 1994, near Ispica, a quaint town in Sicily. His musical journey commenced in the province of Ragusa, where he took on the role of a resident DJ at Kristal in Modica, navigating the burgeoning club scene.
Venturing beyond local borders, made his mark on the international stage at the One Day Music Festival in Catania, an annual gathering that draws over 20,000 enthusiasts every May 1st. Inspired by the diverse opportunities London presented, he decided to relocate to the city to foster his musical growth, playing a pivotal role in the inception of a thriving label.
London's dynamic scene provided KAMEROL with prestigious platforms, gracing renowned clubs such as Orange Yard, 93 Feet East and Basing House. Amidst his British sojourn, he not only honed his skills as a producer but also delved into event organisation. Sharing stages with stalwarts of underground music like ROSSKO, Lee Van Dowski, and Markus Fix, he solidified his presence within the European music landscape.
With a burgeoning reputation, KAMEROL continued to evolve, delving into the realms of music production to broaden his artistic vision. Currently, he is diligently working on his own label, Unusual Traxx, which can be explored on Bandcamp. His name remains a fixture on techno event posters, featuring prominently at iconic venues like Fabric and E1, sharing billing with luminaries such as Dimmish and Ben Murphy, among others.
