K94 is the artistic identity of Guatemalan producer and live performer Luis Pedro La Torre, as well as the founder of Comunidad de Música Avanzada, a platform dedicated to promoting electronic culture in Central America through events, education, and interdisciplinary programming. His practice operates at the intersection of club music and sonic exploration, shaping sets that combine dancefloor-oriented rhythmic structures with experimental processes, textural manipulation, and digital narratives. His work balances the physical energy of the dancefloor with a more introspective approach to sound. Emerging from Guatemala’s underground circuits, K94 has brought his project to a range of contexts across Central America and Europe — including performances in Guatemala and Panama, as well as in cities such as Lisbon, Braga, and Berlin — developing experiences that prioritize listening, atmosphere, and the gradual construction of energy. In parallel, his curatorial work has expanded into international contexts, with event production in Berlin’s club circuit through Comunidad de Música Avanzada. With a growing catalogue of upcoming material and an active presence in the region, his approach seeks to build bridges between scenes, languages, and ways of understanding contemporary electronic music.
