During my journey of coming out as gay, I learned the history of how much music and culture is influenced by queer people. As a native Mid-Westerner, everyone is always surprised by the impact the Mid-West has in fueling music. I have a special appreciation for warehouse music tracing back to Chicago in the 1980s being a safe space for queer people. Also, being born and raised in Detroit, I enjoy the sound of underground techno that started around the 1980s as well. Listening to music creates a sublime experience, that I enjoy sharing with everyone. Music is therapy, good for the soul, motivating, and magical. I have a diverse music experience from going to warehouse parties, raves, circuits, concerts, festivals, to mediations, and yoga across so many genres.
