Julia has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Aurora Halal, Hércules & Love Affair, COEO, Sevdaliza, John Talabot, Poison Anna, Muva of Heart, Ellen Alien, Rebolledo, Niño Árbol, LAO, among others, and has performed at some of the most significant clubs and parties and festivals in Mexico City, including Bahidorá, Corona Capital, YuYu, Fünk, Sunday Sunday, Algo Bien, [sic], Departamento, Indie Rocks, Diáspora, Japan, Madre Café, House of Vans, and Vans Channel 66, to name a few.
Her performances have also taken her to various cities in Mexico and international venues such as the Tate Museum in London and the legendary club Katerblau in Berlin.
Julia's experience as a music programmer at Aire Libre FM has undoubtedly influenced her sound range, allowing her to deliver an eclectic mix of percussive club music, bass and breakbeats with hints of house, IDM and techno, as well as soulful and laid back sounds like hip hop, reggaeton, afrobeat, r&b, soul, and disco. With her impressive skills and broad music knowledge, Julia Toporek is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after DJs and music programmers in Mexico's music scene.
Julia Toporek is also set to make her mark as a musician. She will be releasing her own music for the first time this year, showcasing her unique sound that is heavily influenced by hip hop and club culture. Her productions are full of fun samples, acid synthesizers, and subby basses, with the signature sounds of breakbeats and 808 drum machines.
