With over 20 years of deejaying behind him Juhani Oivo is an central figure in the Northern Finnish DJ scene. Oivo has organised countless club nights in his hometown of Oulu bringing such international names as Bjørn Torske, Mala, Main Phase, Gifted & Blessed, EVA808 and Central to play at nights he runs like the house-leaning Elektorni and its darker underground techno counterpart Elektyrmä. A warm spot for percussion, broken beats and dub haunt the veins of his vinyl sets that traverse through various styles and amalgamations of house, techno and beyond. Long a local gem in the city of Oulu, Oivo has lately ventured more out of his hometown, playing at for example revered Helsinki-venues such as Post Bar, Stidilä and Ääniwalli. Oivo has also played at the the much hyped Solstice Festival in Ruka as well as the Hot! Hot! Hot! festival in Bergen.
