In search of the impact that sound generates in its subliminal tones, Juanito presents a futuristic perspective on the dancefloor. Tied to disruptive electro sounds and an undeniable preference for groove, his tracks carry a rawness that cleanses the spirit, gaining support and airplay from key figures in the current scene. Born and raised in Cali, he has crafted a sonic identity that projects towards the mega-structure of the global electronic music industry, standing out as one of the city’s top producers. His first steps in the scene took place in Toulouse, where he introduced his music in clubs like Le Cri de la Mouette and Downtown Factory, signing his debut release with the label Pain Bénit. After returning to Colombia in 2021, he immersed himself in Cali’s scene, joining the Obscura Music label and releasing music with the support of artists such as AFFKT, Dubfire, Solomun, and Secret Cinema. He is also part of Eklektisch and Sincopat, two labels that have been instrumental in his artistic development, helping him refine his sound and expand his international reach. Throughout his career, Juanito has taken his sound to cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Toulouse, Montpellier, Copenhagen, and Tulum. In 2024, he launched his own label, Discos Eterna, aiming to establish his sonic vision on his own terms. He has also organized the Discos Eterna Showcases, groundbreaking events in Cali featuring some of the city’s top DJs, including Araujo, Leah Kyveli, and Just Watermelon, setting a new standard for the local scene. He has shared the booth with renowned artists such as Dubfire, Solomun, Fedele, Secret Cinema, and Adam Beyer, reinforcing his position in the global circuit. Currently, he is a resident at Club Sala Kbron in Cali and has been part of events like Elemental Fest, Drumcode, and Obscura Showcase Tulum. His approach sees sound as an expression of what God wants to communicate through the machines.
