Born in Hannover in 1991, Joy's early exposure to music was shaped by his father, a jazz musician proficient in percussion and bass. The rhythms, percussive sounds, and mid-low frequencies embedded themselves in Joy's soul, laying the foundation for his musical journey. However, it wasn't until he stumbled upon techno at the age of 18 that his life took a profound turn. Enthralled by the pulsating beats of techno, Joy dived first into the realm of DJ equipment, quickly honing his skills and igniting a passion for crafting unforgettable sonic experiences. With a natural gift for rhythm and an innate understanding of grooves, he soon found himself orchestrating vibrant parties in his hometown of Malaga. Driven by an unyielding love for music, he made the bold decision to focus all his efforts on pursuing his musical aspirations in Madrid. Here, he immersed himself in the captivating world of vinyl, amassing a collection and spinning tunes in diverse clubs throughout the city. As his journey unfolded in Madrid, he delved into music production, leading him down a path illuminated by analog sound and hardware—a process that would gradually evolve into a truly professional career starting in 2020. Vinyl became his canvas, and analog instruments—drum machines, synthesizers, sequencers, modular systems—became his tools for carving out a new reality, a unique realm where he could pour his soul into each note and rhythm. Fascinatingly, his love for music intertwined with his passion for sci-fi, infusing his creations with a distinct signature that blended elegance, groove, and a sense of boundless freedom. Realizing that techno was his true calling, Joy made the momentous decision to relocate to the electrifying city of Berlin. Here, his artistry flourished, drawing attention from prestigious venues such as About Blank, Salon zur Wilde Renate, and Suicide Club. His exceptional talents earned him international acclaim, culminating in a captivating tour across Poland, adorning cities with his mesmerizing beats. Portugal, too, was enchanted by his music, inviting him to grace its stages with his extraordinary sound. In Berlin, in the midst of the vibrant, pulsating techno scene, Joy found himself at home: a place where his musical dreams could soar and evolve, wowing an international crowd.
