Josh Calo, originally from Frankfurt a. M. but raised in Mallorca, developed a deep love for music during his younger years and has since dedicated himself to crafting his sound. During his youth, he made the decision to relocate to Barcelona, where he embarked on his journey as a DJ and electronic music producer. It didn't take long for him to connect with local music influencers, marking the beginning of his artistic exploration. This path led him to venture into various nightlife scenes, ranging from mainstream to underground, and discover the distinctive groove he had been seeking. After spending a couple of years in Barcelona, Josh felt the pull of his island home, Mallorca, and decided to return. This move allowed him to reunite with childhood friends and ultimately gave life to the formation of the collective and label known as Planetary Instinct. Around the same time, Josh and his best friend, Henny, created the duo project "Bonzai". Throughout more than a decade, Josh has built an extensive collection of music while also producing his own tracks. He has delved into genres from different eras and origins, ultimately discovering the sound that truly defines him. It is this sound that he has chosen to share with his audience. His unwavering passion and constant quest for new music pushes him to dig deep and curate sets of the rarest dance floor grooves, consistently introducing fresh and captivating elements to his listeners. After years of hard work, both as an independent artist and as a resident of Planetary Instinct, Josh has been presented with numerous opportunities to perform internationally in venues including Hoppetosse, The Lion and Lamb, and Les Enfants Brillants, and others. One thing is clear: his profound love and passion for music shine through in his ability to transport listeners on a journey filled with overwhelming emotions.
