Born in Cartagena and based in Madrid, Jorge began his musical career in London after the pandemic, where clubs were still closed and in a context where the electronic music scene worked as a space for cultural recomposition. That experience shaped his understanding of music not only as an artistic practice, but also as a historical and social phenomenon. Upon returning to Spain, he delved deeper into this line of thought from an academic perspective. Earning a PhD in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), his research focuses on the underground electronic music scene as one of the main centers of resistance against the homogenization of culture. He is a co-founder and resident DJ of Cucaña, a collective that originated on the Mediterranean coast (Cabo de Palos) and from which he promotes an interpretation of electronic music linked to context, community, and memory. His sets are constructed as temporal assemblages: he engages with imagery from the eighties and nineties without succumbing to nostalgia, but rather proposing a continuity between past and present, articulating tension, depth, and direction on the dance floor. Rather than adhering to a style, his work seeks to situate itself within a tradition and extend it.
