JOOGMAC (aka DJ JOOG) is a Vallejo-born, Oakland-based DJ, curator, and founder of both the Bussdown Collective — a Bay Area DJ crew and community that connects local creatives with cultural movements worldwide — and Barrio Bounce — a project bridging Filipino Budots rhythms with the underground club scene. His genre-hopping sets—rooted in funk, boogie, UKG, Afro-diasporic club and hip-hop—have taken him to notable rooms including Elsewhere (NYC), 1015 Folsom (SF), The Midway (SF), and Apotheka (Makati, Manila). On support duties, JOOGMAC has shared stages with Jyoty, DJ Sliink, Mr Eazi, Shekdash, WEV, Planta Industrial, and Sasha Marie, while releasing club-ready edits and mixes under his JOOGMAC moniker. Beyond the booth, he’s an active culture-builder in the Bay, spotlighted by KQED, for his work across music and community.
