Jonny Wednesday's musical roots were planted in his childhood, influenced by mix of funky house and cheesy old school club classics. This early exposure led to Jonny inheriting his first set of decks at 15, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey through the realms of electronic music. His initial fascination with trance and classic house gradually evolved, embracing the sounds of late '00s electro house, tech house, techno, and eventually settling on a blend of '90s inspired house music and progressive elements. Jonny's sound is characterised by its groove, rhythm, drawing on influences from the minimal house scene and Romanian producers. After starting to organise parties in Manchester, he then moved to Amsterdam, where his sound was further shaped by the local scene. A notable career milestone was playing at Vent in Tokyo as well as other venues in the city, but it was his prior connection with the French DJ collective Unsilenced in Amsterdam that reignited his passion, offering new avenues for growth and collaboration. He now is part of the collective RPU and features regularly on their roster. With over 15 years of DJing and nearly as many in production, Jonny has matured into a seasoned artist ready to share his work with a broader audience. His discography includes a vinyl release on Innerpoint Records, several Bandcamp releases, and upcoming projects soon to be released.
