JOHN LIWAG’s sound blends house, uk garage, hip-hop/rap edits, miami bass, jungle, and techno. He represents the intersection where the rave meets club music. John Liwag made his festival debut at Splash House (2024) in Palm Springs by Goldenvoice. JL has shared stages with names like ISOxo, Knock2, RL Grime, BLXST, Brutalismus 3000, Glaive, Daniel Allan, clubaction, DEVAULT, Taiki Nulight, JAWNS, Bassvictim, Yeek, sober rob, MADI, Almondmilkhunni, Kai Wachi, Jackie Hollander, DJ Topgun, and Radcat. He also played the official Fred Again.. afterparty alongside clubaction, laylo + iv wrigley on top of The Coliseum immediately after Fred’s first stadium show. John was the official host / dj’d all day in-between each performer’s sets at UC Riverside’s Block Party in 2024. John also was the last dj to play at 88Rising’s Night Market Neighborhood in 2024. JL has performed at venues such as Snapdragon Stadium [Thrive Park] in San Diego, The Shrine Auditorium, The Coliseum‘s 1923 Club, Catch One (Jewel’s Room), The Echo, The Moroccan Lounge in LA, The Observatory OC in Santa Ana, The Loom Warehouse in Oakland, and Baby’s All Right in NYC. With a background in photography, film, and design, John’s output extends beyond music and more into the realm of world-building as he makes every project a fully immersive experience. From working behind-the-scenes and creating visuals for some of music’s biggest stars such as Porter Robinson, Flume, G-Eazy, James Murphy (of LCD Soundsystem), Calum Hood, Princess Nokia, and Audrey Nuna, among many others, and he’s hit the ground running into the forefront as a recording/touring music artist.
