Johan Kaseta

Kaseta uses the perspective of his hip hop background to translate the groove, grit and colour to his dance floor focussed productions. Wildly shattered samples and stumbling grooves characterise the sound of the Back Quality EP and his latest The Erefora Land EP on Lehult. Weather beats or tracks, his tunes are always joyful and alive. Of course his hip hop production background also influences his style as a DJ: Kaseta is wildly different, dropping tracks you wouldn’t expect to work, but when Kaseta is behind the decks they do! Having several late nights sessions in Berlin’s IPSE and Griessmühle, some trans-european stops in Lisbon’s Lux Fragil, plus regular gigs at Lehult’s PAL residency under his belt, Johan Kaseta has refined his unconventional spinning style—and he’s always ready to surprise you too!
