Fed on a diet of Mike Oldfield, Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre (No, he’s not that old, but in typical DJ bio style his mum was dead in to it!), he became chubby on synthpop and Oxygene became his oxygen. As he progressed into teenage years, puberty craved energy and house music was gradually becoming his haute cuisine; initially with the 140bpm sounds of Paul Glazby, The Tidy Boys and Vicious Circle. He spent most of his early teens praying for the facial hair to grow and the baby face to go just so he could get in to a Tidy Weekender. Fortunately as the years did go by his taste mellowed, his ears stopped bleeding and ringing and slower, deeper house sounds were beginning to push his goosebumps outwards . Fast forward to his 20s and Joey has been honing his skills as a DJ. Putting out monthly mixtapes and getting huge plaudits for his raw passion and bottomless tune knowledge, he is gradually rising up the ladder. His energy in the DJ booth is surpassed only by his drive to give people the same joy he has for house. With productions on the way, a track already signed and many more to come, the future couldn’t come soon enough.
