Joe Mac started DJing in 2015, after co-founding 'Nuusic' - initially a Dub/Jungle/DnB event in Manchester, and later a label under the same name. He quickly snowballed bookings all around the circuit, picking up a residency with Worried About Henry in 2016 which he still holds today, and becoming a resident DJ at Antwerp Mansion from 2016 until its closure in 2020. Now also co-owning North-West mainstay Rum Riddimz Run, Joe Mac holds residencies with The Jungle Weekender in Amsterdam - as well as Baltic Weekender in Liverpool and Gottwood on Anglesey, Wales, curating/running yearly stages at both. He has regularly worked closely with Hit&Run in Manchester, throwing large 1k+ cap day parties and sound system-led club nights. Joe Mac also runs 'Yard Party' events hosted under RRR - which is a platform for local musicians to perform in front of large crowds, these occur twice a year (June and September) and have been a roaring success. Having now supported every household name you can think of on line ups, and having also brought most of them to the North West on his own events, Joe Mac is still rolling out sets laden with brand new unheard music cultivated from the Nuusic label, and sourced from a vast network of contacts built up within the scene, whilst also playing dubplates and digging deep for classics and uncovering gems from the past to blend into sets.
