Joe Jeavons-Golding AKA Jobi, a Milton Keynes based DJ and Driven head honcho started his musical career at the young age of 14 when he was bought his first pair of turntables for his birthday. Joe taught himself how to mix, listening to his favourite DJ’s sets then trying to imitate them back. By 15 he was playing out at clubs around Milton Keynes. Joe has always had love for homegrown UK music. As he grew older his passion for music moved from Grime to UKG and Bassline to Dubstep. Having won the GetDarker/ SW4 Festival DJ competition in 2010 he was billed on the same line up as Andy C, DJ Luck & MC Neat and Plastician to name a few. In 2011 Joe moved to London to continue his further education at university and to pursue his music career. While living there he played at various venues in London such as Electric Brixton, Clapham Grand, Brixton Jamm, Scala and many clubs in West London where he lived. A big turning point in his career came in 2012 when he flew out to Croatia to attend Outlook festival where his love of House and Techno music started. Moving back to MK from London after his university course finished, he found himself not being booked to play locally as often as he wanted. So he approached his local pub with an idea to throw parties in the pub garden. This is when he founded Driven. Since starting his night, Jobi has gone from strength to strength, booking and supporting the likes of Artwork, Josh Butler, Lauren Lo Sung, Seb Zito & Zed Bias. Also performing at world famous clubs across the UK and internationally such as Eden Ibiza, the mighty Ministry of Sound -supporting Amine Edge & DANCE’s night CUFF, Egg London and Roadmender. 2018 looks set to be another big year for him with 3 UK festivals We Are FSTVL, Nozstock and Another World all booked in the diary. Driven has some exciting events locked in for the rest of the year at various locations across the UK, with a number of special guests yet to be announced.
