Label founder, Jimmy Read was born in south London in 1975. He discovered soulful House music in '92, before putting on his first party in '94 above a snooker club in Sydenham, South London, then the West End by '95, doing weekly events at Plastic People (Oxford Street), Zeebrabar (Frith Street) & Club Extreme (Gaunt Street) & Carnaby Street by '96. . He got the ibiza bug in '98 and did a season at Star, the only all dayer at the time other than Space! Back in london i launched Riverdance, a boat party for 400 with an after party at a warehouse in Brixton. They did 16 of these parties and ended up hosting the Colleseum in Vauxhall one of the biggest clubs in London with a capacity of 2300 we sold out the after party stopped on Monday night! Radio Stations: Upfront FM, RHouse FM, Supreme FM, Worldwide FM, Dance UK & Select FM. He started producing tunes in 2004 and released my first tune your world which carried a sample from Jessee Jackson's now famous Hyde Park anti war rally speech this was played for around sixteen weeks by Richie Fingers and others on House FM, Londons biggest station at the time! Jimmy Read currently produces tunes under the Digital Soul label and is still promoting parties. Digital Soul featured on ITN London's news last summer when they threw a party at the Notting Hill Carnival raising money for a breast cancer charity. They've also played at The Cross, Bageleys SE1 and pretty much every other club in London with residencies at The Blue Bottle, Sound Bar and Bar K in the West End.
