Jez is a Boston based DJ who was raised by a musical family in Pittsburgh, PA. He learned how to play piano and guitar at a young age so learning to dj came naturally. Growing up in the rust belt of America led to an early introduction into house music, techno and rave culture. Jez loves travelling and seeing the world. Visiting electronic music venues in cities like Berlin, Detroit, Chicago, London, NYC, and Buenos Aires has introduced Jez to a variety of house sounds. In 2007 this old raver and long time house and techno fan began collecting records. Mixing and DJing came a few years later, around 2014 or so. Jez enjoys mixing a quirky, more off-kilter, and well-produced house set with maybe a little breaks, and the odd minimal techno track mixed in for good balance. He prefers vinyl but is comfortable playing on CDJs as well. Locally, Jez has been making a name for himself in the New England area by securing bookings at Dig Deep, White Label's Open Air party, Experience Collective's 2022 Halloween Bash, Dig It, Housework and more. He’s had the pleasure of sharing the bill with Raphael Carrau and K.atou (aka – Janet Davis); as well as many northeast DJs and label owners like Bruno Lima, Curtis Grove, Francois G, John Bruno, NDK (Andy Kershaw), Tekila, Twist of Fate and Your Friend Brett. Due to his undeniable talent and taste in music, Eastcoast Underground has happily welcomed Jez onto their roster. A Jez dj set can set the tone for the evening, rock the dance floor and party, or whind the party down properly. He has a deep record bag and can’t wait to share it with you.
