Jeremy Avalon
Biografía
Inspired by his father's immense vinyl collection, Jeremy showed an interest in music at a very early age. "I grew up in a household where my father played everything from Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana one moment, and then Stevie Wonder, Peter Tosh, Prince and U2 the next."
Already a world traveler by the age of 11, Jeremy incorporates many international music styles into his DJ'ing and production from Afro-Latino Caribbean rhythms, Hip Hop, Soul, Funk to French House and UK Garage. His long time DJ residences at the W Hotels have made him a premiere DJ on the Atlanta indie scene. His Music career has essentially given him the opportunity to be a "two sport" artist. This diversity in talent has allowed him to share the stage with acts ranging from rock Fishbone, Cowboy Mouth then switching gears into DJ mode playing on bills with DJ Scratch, Rich Medina, Nappy Roots, Pete Rock & Arab Muzik to name a few. Jeremy has also been featured One Music Fest's DJ stage two years running as well as slots on A3C music festival.
"Like a lot of DJs, he's been in the game since he was essentially a child. Unlike many DJs, he's taken advantage of that time to become one of the most versatile artists in the scene, using his hunger for music and intuition as a selector to seamlessly transition between audiences, venues, & formats without missing a step. Jeremy seems to approach DJing like a DJ should not as someone thirsty to use music to develop a personal brand, but as a student and lover of sound a kid in a metaphorical candy shop just excited to taste everything and bring you a piece too. Oh, and that DJ brand? Yeah, he's got that too. " Trey West Founder of Soul Spin Studios
