Groove-aholic since his childhood, Jay U keeps his addiction stronger than ever and shows no sign of stopping. A househead since his early teens, he's obsessively looking for the perfect beat, mixing a wide range of styles from Disco, Soul and Funk to House, Techno and Progressive. He loves to take the crowd by surprise and never hesitates to throw an unexpected old school gem in the middle of a set. He first discovered House Music around 1991, on French radio. It was a time where House had its few radio shows, including the famous Megamix by a man called Dimitri (who will become Dimitri From Paris a few years later) and Better Days, hosted by Bibi and Sami Dee, two key figures in the French House scene. Jay's first love was Garage and Deep House. Willing to take his passion to the next level, he started to learn the art of mixing records in 1997. Kerri Chandler, Joey Negro, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Masters At Work, Blaze were all part of his early mix tapes. Quickly he started to play small clubs in his town, gaining experience and discovering other styles. Always searching for new music but with a very selective mind, he never plays the "track of the moment" if he doesn't feel it. There's too much good music and too little time to play it all, so why bother playing records you don't really like ? His current style is a mix of House, Techno, Bass and Progressive when it comes to peak time business, but he remained faithful to his roots and still loves to play Soulful House and Old School Classics.
