They grew up in El Choko in the native and Afro-Colombian communities and immigrated to Canada in 2002. n 2018 they were recruited by Ubisoft; offering to teach them the technology as they began working with the company. In two years that followed they worked on 17 AAA video games including, but not limited to; Avatar; Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin’s Creed, Helix, Ghost Recon, and the Tony Hawk’s series. That same year, Jashim began to DJ, immersing themselves in the underground Latinx music scene of Montreal. They soon started producing their own music and in 2020 they debuted their first single titled Summer 19. In early 2021, they released an EP titled “Cuando aprendí a Hablar” that was accompanied by a double-feature music video short film for the songs Summer 19 and They Used to Call me Anthony, presented by ClubQuarantine among other artists as Pelada and Isabella Lovestory. That year that followed they produced in ARCA’s project Mutants Vol2 and got played at Radio-Canada many times. As 2023 arrived they started their own parties in Puerto Escondido and played for BoilerRoom in Toronto and shared, during that summer, the stage with Tayhana, Ms. nina, Toccororo, That Kid, Rosa Pistola, La Eterna and more. Jashim’s style blends genres in a playful way. Their goal for the future is to mix Intermedia Technologies and Immersive technologies with music. Going from video game worlds to bring to live into performances and visual representations in this new era of reggaeton.
