Jamie Swing
Biografía
Being influenced early on by Chicago House pioneers like Adonis, DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, and Cajmere/Green Velvet among others, Jamie Swing developed his own sound from the Acid, Tech, Deep, and Funky sounds heard at parties around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Jamie Swing began playing at local warehouse parties and quickly gained a name for himself amongst his peers. Soon after he made his NorthWest debut opening up for Donald Glaude at the Kitsap Pavilion in Washington. He became a NorthWest favorite and continued to play at various Seattle, Washington venues over the years. He has since played for dancing crowds in Hawaii, Miami for WMC, Burning Man, Playa del Carmen in Mexico during BPM, Sunset Campout, Soul Camp, Humboldt County, and continues to play all around the underground warehouse and club scene.
In 1997, Jamie Swing got involved with promotions and soon after began throwing his own warehouse parties which grew over the years. In 2007 he formed the collective Audio Tramps that have thrown events bringing out some of House music’s top Producers. This gave way to playing alongside talent such as Mark Farina, JT Donaldson, DJ Sneak, DJ Mes, Hector Moralez, The Littlemen, Fred Everything, DJ Heather, IZ & DIZ, Giom, Wally Callerio, LawnChair Generals, Da Sunlounge, Tom Special Interest, Jeno, David Harness, Chris Lum, Arturo Garces, M3, Rick Preston, and Eden Lee of Kinky Movement, just to name a few. He also formed the collective, Sunshine People with fellow DJ’s who have seen their outdoor parties grow over the years that have included talent like Sunshine Jones, Blakkat, Mazi, David Harness, and Reelsoul.
He’s a Resident DJ every 3rd Saturday at Wish Bar & Lounge, a Resident at W XYZ Bar at Aloft Hotel in Milbrae and remains a staple in the San Francisco Bay Area scene known for House music. He's also currently working on putting his own music out. Still busy as a DJ, look out for future tracks as Jamie Swing adds 'Producer' to his name.
