Since moving to the Midwest from the East Coast, Jaggy has found his way through the dance music scene in Chicago, forming meaningful friendships and creating community wherever he goes. It all started when he was invited to Smartbar for Queen in 2015 for the first time, learning what true Chicago house music was all about. He was inspired by the likes of Derrick Carter, Garrett David, and Michael Serafini, who curated a vibe that was unmatched from anything he had seen before in any facet of music. From there, he was invited to a loft spot known as Tanto’s, where he started learning about vinyl and gave him his first taste of the Chicago underground. There were countless nights into mornings at Tanto’s, where Jaggy would start spinning records at sunrise with the morning bustle behind him, giving you that real Chicago feel. His passion for music didn’t stop there as he started playing out more at venues such as Smartbar, Swig, Subterranean, Chop Shop, and many local underground events. Today, Jaggy has joined forces with Seasonal Frequency, Chi City Roller Disco, Aathee Records and newly jumpin party Green Machine which hosts talented locals and big names from afar to create a one of a kind dancefloor experience.
