Jae's creative journey began in 90's Los Angeles, beginning with drawing and quickly transitioning into graffiti. Influenced by Hip Hop and raving, these influences became the foundation of his musical and visual expression. In the summer of 2001, Jae's introduction to the art of DJing came when he met DJ Noir, who would later become his wife and partner. Instantly captivated, Jae’s passion for DJing was ignited. In 2013, Jae, along with Noir and Sonic D, founded Juke Bounce Werk (JBW). The collective rapidly gained international recognition, fostering strong community and honing their craft in DJing, producing events, and curating label projects. Today, as an established imprint with notable compilations like the JBDUBZ series, the label and collective continue to flourish, making significant contributions to the underground music scene in Los Angeles, New York, and beyond. Jae’s DJing spans 2 decades, has taken him across the globe, allowing him to showcase his ever-expanding musical repertoire, characterized by a distinctive taste in underground music. Jae’s visual art can be seen woven in the tapestry of today’s underground release artworks within and outside of JBW.
