Currently based in Austin, this California native wild child grew up in a house of musicians – and is a multi- instrumentalist himself. ISA understood the power of music from a young age. The exposure to a diverse music selection during his childhood had a big impact on Isaʼs style and his ear for unique sounds and experimental style. Early influencing forces that became sources of inspiration for Isa include the legendary Magda and her early minimal sound and as his journey in underground music continued the magical Innervisions parties and more recently experiencing DJ Harvey at Marble Bar in Detroit became a big part in musical growth. It was when Isa moved to San Antonio when he truly found and felt the underground. He began to really explore the sounds of house and techno and after several months it was only natural that he began picking up production in this kind of music as well. Isa began hosting his own parties in San Antonio and also brought with him to Austin a whole production team that provided a new and exciting concept to the city of Austin. Acts he brought include Yokoo and Thugfucker, and he curated a Motek party with Matt Hardinge. After a couple of years after moving to San Antonio ISA held a one year residency at Club Space. Once relocated to Austin he began opening for acts such as The Midnight Perverts, Bedouin, Luca Bacetti and more. He has now made Austin his home base where he is working excitedly to continue to provide magic to dancefloors all over. Isa has been heads down in the studio in between gigs and is excited to be playing his first live set in Mexico for RTS.FM which will be streamed live. He is also exploring a more melancholic shade to house and techno under a new alias ʻQuite Simple Cliveʼ of which he is already working on a separate live set for. Beyond having a knack for unique sounds Isa enjoys exploring a few different electronic styles. He also has a soft spot for the after-hours slots where he can really explore some of these different sounds.
