Interlude are a Jungle/Hardcore/Jungle Tekno DJ trio based in Bristol who play on digital and vinyl. They started playing together in March 2023. They take inspiration from the 90s rave scene whilst blending it with the sound of modern Jungle. Playing on vinyl has influenced their sound more than anything else; discovering labels and artists is something they’ve bonded over and they’re always excited to share our records with eachother as well as their audiences. They also run Elysium, an independently run night which has a strong ethos of promoting, supporting and giving publicity to female, non-binary artists and artists of colour. They aim to change the scene for the better and hope that other promoters can follow in our footsteps. Our lineups aim to push beyond Bristol’s oversaturated Jungle and DnB scene, spotlighting a broader spectrum of sounds — from Broken Beat, Techno, Deep and Acid House to Dub, Gabber, Jungle Tekno, Hard House, and Hardcore.
