Her passion for music began at home in Chicago, having been raised on a steady diet of Brazilian grooves, 60s jazz, and deep soul. She began DJing in her early twenties, playing soul, jazz, and disco on the University of Michigan's student radio, WCBN-FM. After moving back to Chicago, Inés became heavily invested in Chicago's underground disco scene, becoming a regular staff member at the legendary Durty Truth party. She was taken under the wings of its residents, Darryn Jones and Material, who pushed her to dig deeper and work harder. Inés made waves with her first underground party in the city, Work Ethic. Winning over audiences with excellent curation and a passionate DIY approach, Work Ethic has helped bring a new generation of dancers into Chicago's underground disco tradition. Her peers have referred to her as an "underground queen", "that girl with the big hair and the crazy records", and "the hardest working lesbian to ever live".
