Indus is a hybrid of the musical landscape from the Caribbean coast of Colombia and the global club culture. Their live show is an energetic discharge of acid analog synthesizers and afro-colombian vocals and percussion. The band has consolidated a sound that portrays afro-colombian traditional rhythms, Carnaval de barranquilla sounds and Picko culture in a nocturne club ambience, The band has toured internationally 3 times (Canada 2023, Europe 2024 y Canada 2024) with highlighted performances in Mutek (Montreal - 2023), Nuits Sonores (Lyon - 2024) and Fusion Festival (Berlin - 2024) Indus has released music since 2020 independently and under labels like ZZK Records and Palenque Records. Their work includes 2 albums, several singles including collaborations with some of the most renowned traditional Colombian musicians such as traditional folk singers Nelda Piña on “Alfa Indi”, Hermes Romero on the song “Noche Oscura” and San Basilio de Palenque’s iconic bands such Las Alegres Ambulancias, Sexteto Tabala and Son Palenque on their remixes Eps.
