Dynamic and evolving, Iñaki Villasante is a DJ and producer from Madrid with over 30 years of experience in electronic music. His precise technique and ability to connect with the audience make every set an intense and controlled experience, reflecting his deep mastery of techno.
Since his adolescence, Iñaki has lived electronic music with absolute dedication. His drive to be at the center of any environment where DJ booth and audience meet led him to perform in clubs dominated by EBM, influenced by international pioneers such as Kraftwerk, Front 242, and Nitzer Ebb, which laid the foundation of his musical formation. Early in his career, he also came into contact with psychedelic sounds from Belgium and Germany, which provided a significant influence on his artistic development, although his core musical identity is defined by techno. Performances at venues like Epsilon marked the beginning of a rapidly ascending career.
In 1998, he became a resident DJ at Van-Vas, one of the most important clubs in the Spanish electronic scene, participating in historic events such as the first Tresor Night held in Spain, a milestone for the expansion of European techno in the country. By the time Van-Vas closed, Iñaki was already a fully established figure in the scene.
In 2003, he joined Rxxistance, one of the most influential techno brands in Spain, and began producing for labels like Manuke and Infecta, establishing the foundations of his producer identity.
In 2005, he founded Disclosure Records, a label showcasing his personal vision of techno, collaborating with top artists such as Exium, Takaaki Itoh, Event 7, Stoned Baby, and Sergy Casttle, consolidating the label as a benchmark in the underground circuit. Later, he co-founded Dual Breathing with Ivan-L, achieving strong sales with its first release.
His dedication in the studio led to EPs on the prestigious Portuguese label Naked Lunch, home to artists like The Advent, Industrialyzer, and Bas Mooy, with his productions featured in international compilations.
From 2011, he was represented by Delta Bookings, sharing a roster with artists such as DJ Pepo, Stoned Baby, Bas Mooy, Pacou, Joton, Event 7, and Jose Pouj, performing at national and international events.
Between 2014 and 2015, he continued exploring experimental techno, releasing music under various aliases on labels including Naked Lunch, Amigos Records, Industrial Records, Disclosure, and Dual Breathing.
Between 2016 and 2017, he released music on various labels alongside artists such as Raúl Parra, Gabriel D’Or & Bordoy, Sergy Casttle, and Rasser. In 2017, together with Rxxistance, he performed on a custom stage at “El Bosque Encantado” during the 21st edition of Aquasella Festival, solidifying his position as a key figure in European techno.
In 2018, he launched his own events, Disclosure Showcase, while continuing to release on Disclosure Records and Dual Breathing, supporting emerging and established artists and consolidating his deep, atmospheric techno sound.
In 2019, he collaborated with Radio Marca on the program Electroshock, presenting the segment “Las Crónicas del EBM”, and in 2020, he created his own show Disclosure – Only Techno, also participating in documentaries like Dark Garden and Farola Sound.
Between 2021 and 2022, he released EPs on Black Bore Records and Underground Roads Records, reaching the Top Ten in the Techno rankings (Peak Time / Driving), and collaborated with Cristian Varela on monthly sessions for Syndicast (UK).
In 2023, he founded the electronic duo “Pistas Ocultas” with singer and composer Saúl Arranz, exploring introspective and experimental sounds. That same year, he created a remix for Izan Jay – “Thousand” on Rxxistance and upgraded his studio with Virus T1, Elektron Analog Rytm MKII, Korg Prophecy, Korg 707, and Korg X5, including professional acoustic treatment.
In 2024, he released an EP on XTENCE, earning praise from Richie Hawtin and Cristian Varela, consolidating his international projection.
In 2025, he presented the project “That’s How My Love Goes” via LETS TECHNO Records, distributed by Pressology Distribution, with tracks VV40 and ID77, reaching #1 and #2 in the Top Ten, reaffirming his ability to produce high-impact music and his prominent position in contemporary techno.
