Diana is a Georgian with Siberian roots who truly came into her own in St. Petersburg. She is a resident of the iconic Roots United community, which created the Present Perfect Festival, the cultural spot K-30 and a number of other initiatives. She has an 8-year career as a Radio Record host, and performances at Tresor (Berlin) and broadcasts on Red Light Radio and Hör. Niels' biography is no less impressive. A native of the Friesland province in The Netherlands, he is widely known for his Delta Funktionen moniker. And it's under this name that he gained world wide fame and held longtime residencies at Tresor (Berlin) and Trouw (Amsterdam), and is rightfully among the most prominent and sought-after producers from the Netherlands over the past 15 years. Releases of his solo project, which spans from dub techno to electro, have been issued on iconic labels like Delsin, Mord, Field Records, and Niels' own label, Radio Matrix. In 2019, the creative energies of Diana and Niels converged in the joint project Immediate Proximity. A year later, their debut album "2334" was released on the Radio Matrix sub-label IMPROX - a response from the duo to times of isolation and uncertainty, depicting a utopian future world where machines, victorious over humanity, merge in ecstatic ritual dances. IMPROX operates as a space where genres mutate to new lifeforms. The project's development did not take long: today, Immediate Proximity's discography includes several releases, each exploring uncharted mutations of sound at the intersection of electro, techno, bass, and breaks. Extraterrestrial soundscapes, hard beats and futuristic energy are the main identifiers of Immediate Proximity's musical universe.
