Ilya Semashkevich started writing music in 2012 as a self-taught guitarist, creating music in notation software for guitarists Guitar Pro 5. In 2013, he began playing in rock bands. In 2015, he started working on professional software for arrangement and sound design Ableton Live. In 2016, without having a formal music education, he moved to Poland and enrolled in a Faculty of Jazz and Pop Music in National Academy of Applied Sciences, Nysa (PL) for sound engineering to learn how to bring his musical ideas to completion. During this period, he began writing arrangements for artists. In 2017, he entered a University of Applied Sciences, Mittweida (DE), continuing his education in this field and further developing his understanding of sound and space. In 2018, he began performing with original electronic music in Germany. He then took an academic break and started collaborating with Berliner Telegraph (Chemnitz, DE) for social projects, and radio. Subsequently, he was invited to Prague to work with Battle POINT (Praha, CZ) for hip-hop and pop artists while continuing to perform his original material. With a passion for manifesting art, in 2019, he returned to Polish university to delve deeper into the study of sound and write a thesis titled “Imaginative Mixing” which explores a subjective view of sound as an instrument and offers methods of manifesting musical art. Due to the situation in Belarus, he lost the opportunity to return home and started building a home in Poland. In 2020, after completing university, he began working as an arranger in ¾ UDGS (Bielsko Biała, PL) and developed his abilities in commercial music like LLHH. In 2021, he and a friend established a studio SDS (Głogów, PL) and decided to fully immerse themselves in their original work, moving away from mass commercial projects. During this period, he began performing with extensive improvisation guitar performances, writing songs, and creating original electronic music while working with Polish artists, creating installations, painting, engaging in video production, and working with children. In 2022, he moved to Warsaw to further expand his understanding of electronic music. Given the global situation, he began working as an educator and adaptation trainer in a Foundation for Freedom (Warszawa, PL) focused on integrating refugee and migrant children with the local population. In January 2023, he started releasing music under his own name, conveying a collective vision without genre boundaries. The launch of this project marked the beginning of work with theater, film, orchestras, choirs, performances, and advertising. He is a part of Dzieja Druhaja, Natur, Penumbrum and work with Vlotr Media, Warsaw Freedom Orchestra.
