Illogical Operator
Biografía
Chris cut his teeth in the Dundee music scene of the mid 90s before moving to London and running a successful club night, Zombie Disco, at infamous south east rave hole, Bubblegum. He then found himself back in Dundee curating events under the moniker The Bombay Club, as well as hosting a tent at Dundee's biggest annual festival, Westfest. Chris is now in Glasgow, where, along with some like minded reprobates, they host WrongParty in various venues across the city, including southside mecca McNeills, the legendary Berkeley suite, la cheetah and the recently renovated Brunswick Cellars.
WrongParty has built up a cult following and attracts punters from all over Scotland, and whilst fundamentally based on the resident jocks quirky, anything goes style, they have had guests of the calibre of Vladimir ivkovic, Anatolian Weapons and Jamie Paton and are making serious waves in the Scottish club scene.
Chris also has a bi-monthly show on Noods radio called linear movements, co-hosts another with his big bro Jamie on mutant radio under the guise of Methods of Dance, as well as making appearances on local station Radio Buena Vida.
With a musical knowledge built on a three decade long tour of duty around the UK club scene in his back pocket, you can find Illogical Operator in various Glasgow watering holes playing all kinds of weird and wonderful stuff, but the backbone of any club set would likely involve off kilter house, leftfield techno with a judicious helping of wave, new beat and mutant disco.
