i+eo explores a vision of futurism based on the artists' identities and experiences as queer Southeast Asian diaspora, intertwined with influences from the West Coast of Canada's electronic and underground music scene. This project is born out of the duo’s participation in MUTEK’s 2024 Incubator program, where they were selected as two of ten emerging artists in Canada. Alchemized with powerful talismans and drawing inspiration from the colourful and distinct palettes of Southeast Asian street food, i+eo invites audiences into a vivid, transcendental realm in the futuristic and yet nostalgic cosmos where boundaries and time dissolve. Fusing cultural memory with science fiction, portals bridge dimensions, drawing viewers deeper into the narrative where the spiritual and the speculative merge to form immersive and contemplative experiences. i+eo will be doing a world premiere and a dance floor adaptation of i+eo’s a/v installation 5760 x 1080, which featured at New Forms Festival: Transform (2024), in Vancouver, British Columbia, at MUTEK Montreal 2025.
