Part of Malmö's prominent music collective NORM, accompanied by close friendship and mutual passion for electronic dance music. Hultgren has left scratch marks on the club scene as one of the more prominent DJs to emerge since the covid depervation. Copping a DJ residency slot for the queer safespace event series GAG, which as a bi-monthly event takes place at the prominent Copenhagen club, Den Ande Siden, since last year. With a generall understanding of the importance of building up moods and atmospheres, no forcing anything onto the floor but rather lead the way through the different realms of electronic music. Choosing tracks with the intention of structuring a vibrant dance floor with a mix of genres. Selections that bridges techno, electro, breaks and trance. Contemporary type sounds and beats that take inspiration from the past while embracing the future. The sparked interesst for rave subculture and in particullar techno, was brought about in teenage years. Introduced to what seemingly where an aboundance of tangible underground events, raves and squat parties frequently popping up in every corner around Malmö. Not long before the city and police would start a systematic repression of the culture as a whole. In retrospection the timing was on point; the classic phase of teenage strive and urge to rebell against the conventienal, conspiring with being subcontiously on a young adults quest for community and a sence of belonging where shared core human values where of high priority; it was hard to not be drawn to and charmed by the aesthetics of rave subculture.
