It was the year 1992 that Hughesee fully embraced rave culture. Endless hours of listening to pirate radio stations like Pulse FM, Green Apple, Energy and Rush FM. Frequent trips to record shops in London, such as Black Market & Unity, whilst picking up the latest Yaman mixtape would draw him further into this culture. He has played on radio stations such as Interface, Origin, Kool FM, Breakpirates & ll FM and currently hosts a show on Kool FM every Thursday 1-2 pm. Simon co-runs Distant Planet events with his partner. Louise Plus One, with a focus on Rave/Hardcore/Jungle/Techno from the '90s and new breakbeat hardcore and Jungle. He is also a keen video editor and videographer and curates the Distant Planet TV Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/DistantPlanetTV As well as being a resident at Distant Planet Nights, Hughesee has played at many others like Live Evil, Rupture, Kapow, Klartbeat and Calling The Hardcore, to name a few. He has also played at Bangface Weekender, Glastonbury, Symmetry and Freekuency (PT) festivals.
