From Y2K warehouse floors in Ohio to the club circuits of Chicago and Milwaukee, Hugh carved his path early, earning a residency at the legendary club Three in Milwaukee in 2001. In 2007, Hugh built on his foundation in the Dallas scene as a regular DJ mix contributor for Proton Radio and a promoter and DJ for Proton Sessions. In the years following, he traveled extensively to electronic music meccas like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Berlin, and Amsterdam to absorb the pulse of dancefloors around the world. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, Hugh is the owner and buyer at Backlink Records. He works tirelessly to source and import forward-thinking vinyl for DJs and collectors who are committed to the craft and culture.
