Biografía

From the heart of Vienna, looking out into the world! Carrying on the name of his ancestors, Huebl’s music can be seen as the future of Detroit Techno. After more than 10 years of on-stage presence, the producer and DJ is firmly established within the Austrian techno scene. His releases have allowed him to perform with Sam Paganini, Deborah De Luca, Cari Lekebusch, Dustin Zahn, Gary Beck, Stacey Pullen, Airod, Marc Houle, Mike Wall, Anfisa Letyago and Patrick Pulsinger. In the pattern of life only one thing is persistent: Movement. Huebl channels this movement through his new, shortened artist name. By focussing on the essentials – his own roots and the origins of techno – the essence remains the same. Huebl’s music consists of shuffled grooves, droning baselines, a Roland TR-909 and warm synthbeds, topped off with catchy vocals. Here, Huebl mainly collaborates with People of Color. His style is defined by a mix of techno’s origins – developed in the mid-80s in the motor city of Detroit – and late 90s’ techno anthems. This allows him to create charming but powerful tracks. Additionally, Huebl doesn’t take himself too seriously and always manages to slip in some humor, the so called „Wiener Schmäh“. Huebl also takes reference from his family history. His ancestors ran a successful cloth trade and lived as „Sudetendeutsche“ in today’s Czech Republic. – A heritage that lasted for more than 100 years. The political situation of World War II, however, forced them to flee, and their name as well as property vanished.Through using the original logo, and with great enthusiasm for fashion, Huebl carries on his ancestors’ tradition. Further projects and collaborations, for instance with Umhaller or Albin Brezlan, are in the making... Following!
