Hofer66 began DJing in the early 90s after living the true beginning of house music in Ibiza in 1989 with the live performance of Adamski in Amnesia in Ibiza. After this first impact he started to play in Ibiza in legendary places like Km5 in 1993, at this point with tapes and a rudimentary mixer. From 1992 - 1995 he was playing in Germany in legendary clubs like 'The Box' in Frankfurt, 'Babalu' in Munich, 'Oz' in Stuttgart and 'Oktan' near Freiburg. In 1996 he moved to Ibiza and played almost every club and bar on the island in the following years. Since 2001 he is the editor of dub Magazine Ibiza, so he is giving back the people what they give to him - his spirit and love for this music. In 2012 he took the project online and it became 'dub Ibiza network' to be found at www.dubibiza.com, still publishing two physical mags during the summer season but communicating the whole year round through the website. In 2005 he started his own partyseries called 'sense - everything that makes sense', becoming one of the most successful parties during the wintermonths in Ibiza for 5 consecutive years. Since 2008 he produces together with Ingmarlo under the name 'Sonicure', including collaborations with Stephen Russell - The Barefootdoctor. Until today they released more than 20 tracks with the label Movinsounds Ibiza. In 2009 he was nominated for the DJ Awards in the category 'Best Ibiza Resident'. He is booked all over the world without playing too much as he is independent and quite busy in the summer months with his work on dub Magazine Ibiza. From march 2011 until february 2012 he was programming director of Ibiza Sonica. In early 2014 he became head of communication at the Magic Music Studios in Ibiza, helping to promote an incredible compound of different music studios. From 2015 - 16 he was the music coordinator and graphic designer for Pacific Electronic Music in San Diego, CA / US. For 2017 he took over the communication department of the legendary venue 'El Clodenis' in San Rafael / Ibiza, collaborating on various levels to bring the legend back to life. In 2013 he created another party series called 'Local Heroes Ibiza', having a residency in the former Grial in Ibiza during Winter 2013/14 and held six exclusive events at Space during the summer season 2014 at Carl Cox' event 'Music is Revolution', hosting his own floor on the 'Premier Etage' and 'El Salon'. The project aims to showcase the exceptional quality of Ibiza's resident DJs, giving them a platform to perform their preferred music, always deep, sexy and groovy. 2015 saw him taking 'Local Heroes' back to the Underground with a weekly residence in Sansara where he continued in 2016. In 2017 he became resident in the legendary 'El Clodenis' in Ibiza where he continued to play in 2018. In winter 217/18 he was resident in the Petit Pereyra, a private smokers club with an analog sound system for music lovers. Every Wednesdasy he celebrates his new show 'Purified' live and direct on prime time from 07 - 08 PM CET on pureibizaradio.com and every Saturday also from 07 - 08 Pm CET live and very direct his show 'IGR makes SENSE' on www.ibizaglobalradio.com. His style is well known for the variety of deep, sexy, sensual grooves ranging from Deep House to Deep Tech House. He is as well known for his endless sets on the beaches of Ibiza and abroad, playing from Chill to Deep House as he prefers to play long sets to take people on a trip.
