HERA (MX)
HERA (MX)
Biografía
Growing up in Mexico City, she was immersed in the local sounds of cumbia and reggaetón, later expanding her influences to include dembow, guaracha, and other Latin rhythms. As she got older, she developed a deep love for electronic music, with a special passion for house. Deeply inspired by ’90s Chicago house, she also has a strong affinity for tribal house, acid house, and minimal—genres that form the foundation of her sound.
As a dedicated crate digger and vinyl collector, she draws inspiration from the past while continuously evolving her sound and offering a fresh, modern approach. Whether through song selection, mixing, or production, she pushes the boundaries of electronic music in a way that reflects the world’s ever-growing multicultural experience. Hera’s love for music is inseparable from her yearning for equity and freedom of expression. She’s particularly interested in collaborating with people and performing in spaces that encourage free expression for women and the LGBTQ+ community.
