Helena Guedes is a Porto based DJ who's been creating waves with her diverse sets mixing jazz, soul, funk, disco, house and everything in between. Starting out in her teens as a music lover and digger immersed in soul, funk, disco, jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, as well as Chicago and Detroit's signature sounds, through to the acid jazz and broken beat scenes emerging from the UK in the early 90’s, Helena’s sets are a heartfelt tribute to her passion and endless curiosity for black music and its roots. She's a regular presence in portuguese venues and has been lucky enough to play alongside some of her DJ heroes. Her mixes can be found in web radios from across the globe.
