Veteran DJ, party creator & fashion anarchist HausKlown was ‘sonically born-again’ in an abandoned factory just outside London in 1986 when He first heard Acid House. Between then and now there have been a LOT of parties in all sorts of spaces from warehouses to forests, caves to car parks. There was a couple of decades in and around Sydney, Australia and more ridiculous clothing than HausKlown’s friends care to remember. As a DJ, House is the epicentre of his musical Venn diagram, intersected by Funk, Techno, Disco, Acid, Trance, Italo, Handbag, Gospel, Afrobeat & HipHop. HausKlown’s selection criteria is one question “Does this make me wanna get up & dance?” Expect: A varied, energetic, sonic journey aimed at creating feelings of dance floor communion. There will likely be moments of joyous ecstasy, periods of trippy introspection, grin-inducing melodies to get your hands up in the air and a sprinkle of uplifting vocals to heal your soul. All underpinned with the kind of dirty funky bass lines that make things tingle between your legs.
