HashR
Biografía
Hashir, known behind the decks as HashR, is a DJ and sonic curator hailing from New Delhi and currently based in London. With a background in law and a deep love for borderless sound, HashR blends genres and cultures to craft immersive, high-energy sets that are both rhythmically rich and conceptually intentional. Drawing on influences from UK bass, percussive techno, South Asian electronica, and experimental club music, his style is defined by dynamic shifts, narrative arcs, and bold transitions.
His sets move beyond pure entertainment—they are spaces of emotional resonance, intellectual provocation, and instinctive movement. Whether in intimate DIY venues or on larger club systems, HashR weaves selections that reflect diasporic rhythms, global underground scenes, and his own evolving sonic identity.
HashR’s DJing journey began after moving to London, where he was drawn into the city’s genre-blurring club scene. Inspired by its sonic possibilities, he began mixing as a way to fuse his Indian sensibilities with a broader global palette. His approach is instinctive yet thoughtful—bringing together diverse influences to tell stories that transcend borders and speak through rhythm.
At the heart of his approach is a commitment to connection—between tracks, between people, between memory and momentum. Currently, he hosts a monthly radio show, Galata w/ HashR on Aaja Radio, where he explores cross-cultural textures and emotional soundscapes. For HashR, DJing is not just performance but a kind of archival storytelling: each set a temporary world, built from shared frequencies and fleeting intensities—a place where bodies move, histories surface, and something unspoken hangs in the bass.
