Londoner Guy Hornsby's fifteeen year love affair with decks and mixers has take in many of the capital's best-loved (and ex-) venues, from The Rhythm Factory, Turnmills and The Coronet, to Ministry, Star of Bethnal Green, Heaven, The Hanover Grand, The End, Horse and Groom and Corsica Studios. Grafting in the UK's clubs have been offset by gigs in his spiritual home Ibiza, since 2007, as well as trips as far afield as Bahrain and Valencia, Dublin, and Petrcane for 2009's Airbound festival, and UK stalewarts Sankeys and the Warehouse in Leeds. He now runs DropOut in his East London home, a laid-back antidote to the frenetic weekdays of the capital. The night celebrates its 5th birthday in 2013 at the Star of Bethnal Green, and it's welcomed Craig Torrance, Louche, Tom Real, Chris Finke, Bearweasel, Rik Parkinson and Ben Gomori over the years. When not writing about music across the continent's festivals or appearing on BBC 6Music, Guy's developed a production career that saw him produce his 2007 debut EP on London imprint Devore Recordings. Follow-ups on european labels and more recent work on Landed, L:Music, and Kent label Sideways Recordings have continued his progression, with support for tracks from Will Saul, Laurent Garnier, Layo, Mat Playford, Danny Tenaglia, Chris Finke, Russell Deeks, Tim Green, Thom Norton and more.
