Seoul-based artist Guinneissik produces fast and grossly saturated euphoric sounds, drawing heavy inspiration from trance and festival EDM music. After receiving critical acclaim and support from local media for his second LP, [Postwar]—an album that boldly combines the structure of four-movement symphonies with EDM soundscapes—he shifted toward more fundamental and danceable beats with 'Farewell Two Shell', which earned him a nomination for "Best Electronic Song" at the 21st Korean Music Awards. Actively performing live at local venues since 2019, Guinneissik has recently been influenced by the hardcore punk scene and performance art. His music and performances now feature much faster, more chaotic beats with screaming vocals, often launching himself off the stage with a MIDI controller and a microphone. His most recent release 'London Hammer' reflects his current interests with distorted screaming vocals over a hardcore beat at 212 BPM and a 5/4 time signature. 'London Hammer' was also curated by Drew Daniel of Matmos and Machinedrum via The Tabula Rasa Record Company’s compilation album [Thank You, Dream Girl].
