gugol maps is the sonic alias of María Paula Mondragón, a Colombian sound artist, DJ, and cultural producer based in Berlin. Rooted in a deep connection to memory, displacement, and rhythm, her sets move between percussive electronic explorations and introspective soundscape, bridging the dance floor with deep listening. With a background in live sound engineering, performance, and artistic research, gugol maps builds sets that are emotionally charged, rhythmically rich, and grounded in diasporic storytelling. Her work weaves together sounds from the Global South with experimental textures, embracing tension, transformation, and the politics of presence. As co-founder of DALE, a Latin American collective based in Berlin, she explores how nightlife can become a space for community, resistance, and joyful healing.
