GRLFRND is a Techno DJ originally from Chicago, Illinois. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California where her career kickstarted. GRLFRND, otherwise known as Brooke Chenery, grew up with a love for music that stemmed from her European fathers love for Rock & Roll. She spent most of her childhood listening to her two brothers jam on the guitar and create music of their own. As she grew into her own creative, she found herself actively following the Chicago Nightlife scene where she found her love for electronic music. After moving to Los Angeles over 10+ years ago the love for heavy bass didn't stop as she navigated her way through the Los Angeles underground scene. After acquiring her own decks, she discovered the power she held behind them, which led to her un-denying love for Techno. Her music is defined by euphoric melodies leading to heavy driving bass lines. Brooke's mission behind her sets are to create an emotional connection between herself, the music, and the crowd.
