GIO (Giovani Goltara, he/him) is a Brazilian DJ and producer based in Berlin. His intimate relationship with music comes from a young age and became a language that thematizes his struggles as a queer person in a post-colonial context. GIO’s colorful sets are an energetic mix of 90’s house filled with afro-latin percussions and progressive dripping acid synths. Together with his partner and friends, they founded the queer collective and party Coven, which rapidly started standing out in the Berliner underground queer scene since 2021.
