GIO (Sergio Ppa), born 1988 in Ecuador, Uio, now living near Buenos Aires, started experimenting with electronic music in 2008. Inspired by the vibrant local scene and the sound of this time, particlularly at Quito’s internationally renowned club "BLUES", Sergio began to DJ at private parties. In 2014 he started a new fase moving to Buenos Aires undergoing events with his label (GrooveBeat), where he also refined his skills while developing a unique voice as a Dj. Co-Owner of Argentinian based Label GrooveBeat, GIO has been influenced by Dj's like Francis Harris, Anthony Collins (Frank & Tony - Scissor & Thread), Oshana (Partisan/Brouqade), Inxec (Crosstown Rebels), Enzo Siragusa (FUSE), Archie Hamilton (FUSE), Anthea (Brouqade/Desolat/One Records), Subb-an (One Records). His style manages to take one step further and create a combining technique between small melodic sounds and hipnotic sounds, undergoing sublime sub generes like Deep House, Micro House, Minimal, Techno.
