"Giorgio Quaranta aka Gforty, Berlin based and originally from Rome is a polyedric artist mainly focused on techno music with a strong Detroit techno and Chicago house influence. Gforty began composing electronic music in 2004 at the age of 17. In November 2007 Gforty signed a deal with Teggno Records (US) and began his producer activity well by entering the top 100 on Beatport with his track “Parada” and getting his third EP "Desert Strings" launched by Carl Cox at events like the summer opening of Space in Ibiza and the Circoloco at the Rome Congress Centre. Over the first years he has consolidated his experience by playing in different clubs between Rome, including the historical Brancaleone, and different venues in south of Italy. He has released under different international record labels with his tracks being supported and played by many of the most important international DJs in the industry like Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin, X- Press 2, Ken Ishii, Truncate, DJ Bone, Luke Slater, James Zabiela, Ilario Alicante, Samuel L Session, Vince Watson, Slam, Bryan Zentz, Robert Owens, Johannes Volk, Stacey Pullen, Roberto, Beroshima and Joseph Capriati. Gforty secured releases on labels like Motech, Bulletdodge, Bush Records, Naked Lunch, Restructured and Bonzai. In 2014 was amongst the 18 finalist of the Burn Energy Drink "Burn Residency 2014" DJ contest, representing Italy during a two weeks bootcamp in Ibiza, playing in venues such as “Privilege” and being mentored and judged by Carl Cox, Pete Tong, John Digweed and Philipp Straub. After a year in Spain spent between Barcelona and Ibiza From September 2016 he is based in Berlin, where he has set his own record label Momb Records launched in spring 2017."
