Gazfunk

Gazfunk is a Belfast-based DJ, vinyl collector and music blogger with more than 25 years behind the decks. Known for all-vinyl sets built from an extensive collection of original 45s and LPs, his selections span funk, soul, R&B, Latin, mod jazz, garage, psychedelic and rare grooves. His approach combines timeless classics with overlooked gems, always chosen with the dancefloor and the room in mind. Over the years he has played in cities including New York, London, Dublin, Stockholm, Madrid, Melbourne, Sydney, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Austin, New Orleans, Saigon and Siem Reap, sharing line-ups with artists including Eddie Piller, Craig Charles, Mr Fine Wine, Miles Tackett (Breakestra) and Dr Kruger. Away from the decks he writes about music through the long-running Gazfunk website, where he shares record discoveries, reviews and stories from the world of soul, funk, Latin and rare grooves. Whether playing clubs, festivals, bars or intimate listening sessions, the emphasis is always on quality music, thoughtful selection and a genuine passion for discovering and sharing great sounds.
